Mini Update
12/16/08
Not that anyone has been pining away for another installment of the Lipkin Aliyah Updates, but I've just been so busy lately that I haven't had the time to sit down and write.   Mainly, I just wanted to let you know that I've updated our web site with new pictures and videos.
Just a quick update on the family:

Etana, Zev, and family moved back to Beit Shemesh in June.  They now live on our block and we have the pleasure of seeing them almost daily.  (Donniel and I have a special ritual where he comes over to help me make chocolate chip cookies every Friday morning.)  Since he's not in Gan yet, it's wonderful for Yisrael to have the interaction with his nephews on such a regular basis.  Zev is now in business with my brother Jonathan.  They run a call center in Jerusalem.

Elisheva and Shloimie are still in Jerusalem.  Shloimie is continuing his studies in yeshiva and has also begun working for a US-based company that refinances commercial mortgages.  Elisheva is trying her hand at selling jewelry and assorted other endeavors.

Raanan started Hesder Yeshiva at Kerem B'Yavne this year.  He's doing well, but is also considering some other possibilities for next year.
Meira is in second grade and is doing fabulously.  We are very pleased with her school and, of course, they are with her. :)

Yisrael is doing great.  He's the apple of everyone's eye and keeps his mom busy with his NINE therapy sessions a week.
In addition to Yisrael's therapies. seeing some private OT patients, and running the house, Randi is working at home as a Virtual Assistant for a company called Globetask.

Between Yeshiva in the morning and work in the afternoon, I've been keeping myself out of trouble.
Happy Chanuka to all!

Menachem

PS: We just returned from a Chanuka outing in Modiin.  Seeing as Modiin is steeped in historical significance for Chanuka (it was the home of the Macabees) we decided to commemorate that connection by doing what all good New Jerseyians do to celebrate anything...we went bowling there.  But that's not the reason for this post script.  While we were bowling it started to get dark, indicating the beginning of the time to light Chanuka candles.  The background music playing on the PA system stopped and a man asked everyone to stop bowling as it was time to light Chanuka candles.  They selected one of the bowlers to light the menora made out of actual bowling pins!  He made the blessings and we sang Maoz Tzur!
